People hate me and jump to the conclusion that I am a religious bigot and want to kill all the homosexuals when I just go "neh, I don't support gay marriage". But the truth is, I -don't- want to kill all the homosexuals out there.

Isn't this prejudice too? I guess 'liberal' is just another set of people. not saviors.

Oh, and I by the way, I never talked about anything religious with anyone. I just go "I don't support gays." and people talk about the bible in front of me

Oh, and I by the way, I never talked about anything religious with anyone. I just go "I don't support gays." and don't put any more details or reason why they shouldn't. and people talk about the bible in front of me. it's just them who makes lots of words

When I said I don't support gay marriage, it never meant I had anything against them or scream my head off if it was legal. So don't think I can be either black or white on matters like that.

I take a stance with your liberal remark. Look, not everyone supports same-sex marriage. I don't understand it but ok whatever. However, same-sex marriage is coming and it doesn't effect you personally.

I am a liberal and darn proud of it. Liberal just means I am for peoples right to choose. Hopefully, you never come under attack and earn a label.

Good luck to you.

Sorry, but just the statement of "I don't want gays marrying" is sort of offensive. It'd be like saying to black people "I don't want blacks marrying," or to jewish people "I don't want jews marrying," etc. It's prejudice to even say something like that, and you know it. Now, I agree that people jumping on you because of it and taking it to the extreme of killing is wrong. But then again, most of the slave owners didn't want black people dead, they just didn't want them to have any rights that they did. Think about what you're actually saying before you get all charged up and try to flip the mirror around, because you might see that the other person is, for once, in the right. <.<;

Not supporting gay marriage is the same as not supporting a group of people's right to exist, even if you don't go around "queer hunting". I'm sorry if we have held you down for so long. Fight the power.

I'm sorry, I don't really know what you're fishing for, here. I think we'll be fine, even without your support.

Well, honestly, the fact that you insist upon inserting your personal religious beliefs into a SECULAR run LEGAL establishment would make you a bit of a bigot.

I don't mean this as an insult...don't take me the wrong way here.

But there are so many who confuse LEGAL marriages with RELIGIOUS marriages that it really gets quite annoying.

You can be legally married and never set foot in a church.

And... if you are against gay people being married, don't marry one.. simple as that.

i really do agree with you... i am very liberal and i am very open to alot of things however i do understand that my liberal view and openess is not accepted and appreciated by all... people who ANNOUNCE that disagreeing with something is ignorance are ignorant themselves because acceptance works both ways and tolerance is paramount..
