I'm thinking of getting my belly button pierced. I have a really flat, toned tummy and I think i'll get a lot more attention from guys if i peirce my naval and show my abs off a little bit more.

From any of your experiences, how painful was it?

Do you think it made u look sexier?

Are you happy with your decision to get it pierced?

What type of piercing do u have? Stud, jewlery, etc?

Yeah you probably should. It hurts a lot more if you have abs and less fat so ya it killed for me but i love it and there are tons of rings out there to wear with it. You wont regret it!

I have my belly button pierced. I got it pierced a long time ago. Some say it didnt hurt but mine did. Only because the person I went to did a terrible job at it. There was no after pain for me either. I think it made me look sexier, but so many other people have it these days its like..Gosh..im just doing what everyone else is doing. I am still happy with my decision of getting it pierced because it was something that I had always wanted and i think that it is beautiful. (on some people haha) My piercing is a purple butterfly with 2 little dangly things from it. I find that guys like dangly belly rings better than just the balls because they are more showy.

Good luck on the new piercing.
Dont do it though, if you think you will regret it in the long run.
<3 Ashley.

EDIT: Also, you probably shouldnt get the dangly belly rings until you've had the piercing for about 3+ months. Because if it gets tugged (even barely) it will hurt like a mother effer. Right now, it still gets hung when i wear mesh shorts to bed cuz my shorts go up to my belly button :) but it doesnt hurt or feel uncomfy. I simply just pull the dangly thing apart from my shorts. i can tug and tug on it all i want and it doesnt hurt. I never cleaned mine either..I just let it clean itself when i took a shower..thats what i do with all my piercings though. It should only get infected if u did it with an unsterile needle.

Getting it pierced is a decision that only you can make. You really don't need a lot of people that you don't know answering that one for you. If you want to know is it painful, that's a question you can ask, basically not at all. not much more than getting your ears done, but once it's done is when there is pain. It takes quite awhile to heal, unlike ears. That part can be painful, and you have to be very careful as to how you follow the directions you are given as to how to clean it and not to remove the first ring until you are told it is healed and not to go swimming until it is healed.
As far as sexier, some men like it, some men still find it a total turn off, luckily my husband loves it.
Am I happy with my decision, well, I had it done 14 years ago, before it was popular and it's still pierced and I've gone out and spent a fortune on rings. I don't have the type that you are going to probably eventually end up with. At first I had standard rings in gold and stainless steel, with a few charms that I could hang from them, and a sort of barbel. Now, as it's been a long time, I have my expensive jeweler make me gold fancy rings and studs out of 22 kt gold with real gems, since I know I'm keeping the piercing and it's not a passing fancy. ONe thing to note, never put sterling silver in a pierced navel. Stick to gold, surgical steel, niobioum, and titanium only.

It was a lot more painful than I thought it would be, however, it only lasted a second.

I do feel sexier with it and I think they look great on everyone. I've gotten only compliments. I am very happy with deciding to get it pierced.

I usually use a stud, but also have dangly jewelry. They are very pretty, but I only use those for a day at a time because they tend to pull, especially in bed at night, sleeping. The studs are more comfortable overall.

I think you should do it. Guys love girls with it pierced. It can also make you feel more confident. It hurt for a split second. Instant pain. Make sure you clean it everyday and dont play or touch it with fingers for at least 8 weeks. I used bactine after I got mine pierced and I used sea salt with warm water once a day. I had no infections. Im happy I got it pierced. I started off with a hoop because its easier to clean and you can move the hoop and then I got a barbell after about 3 months.

in my opinion i think of abdomen button rings are greater acceptable. I even have one and that i didnt think of it became into painful. My sister has the two and he or she reported her nostril harm the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nostril, and abdomen button. problems can take place with the two you basically could be careful to no longer get an infection. They the two will scar however the nostril could be seen greater. My sister has somewhat carry in her nostril (that's closed) yet you will discover the place it became into. It isnt rather noticable yet nonetheless there. And abdomen buttons rings flow away a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. i wish this facilitates you settle on.

I think you would be making a big mistake doing that. I mean how would you like it if people were like staring at your stomach all the time- don't answer that. Okay, it does hurt, it makes you look trashy, and most parents are not okay with it. Unless, you live with out them and are like 25+, then they aren't okay. I would start with only stomach showing, and if you don't have luck with the guys by then you can go ahead and get one.

Personally, I find body piercing abhorrent. The body is most beautiful the way God made it.
