I have a family friend with a 1976 Nova that is stock by name only. This thing has a blown 454 thats putting out about 950WHP, this car has cost him about $80 000 and he is a heavy duty mechanic and has done all the work and fabrication himself. He runs in the mid to high sixes. I don't know the total car specs off hand, but i remember the last run I saw him do was 6.74 in the 1/4 mile, he burned about a gallon and a half of gas on that run. its insane.
I have a friend that has a 1989 Volvo 740GL that has a 302 that is putting out 450WHP he runs in the high 11's. He's still working on it and things are changing daily. He's done the 0-60-0 in about 16 seconds.
I'm currently in the market for a 302/351W for my Ranger Sleeper project, I'm just in the starting process, so I have no idea where its going to be going. its a 1989 Ranger "Custom" (low end, no power anything.)

BTW....there's no such turbocharger called a sc500 as you say. Definitely not one that would work with a 72' Chevelle.
