This one world view is simply arrogance and doesn't wash.

People all over Iraq see the US as a Terrorist nation using terror to steal their oil.

Are they wrong?

Have said it before and I'll say it again........when gas drops from the $2.60 a gallon it is today back down to the $1.50 it was a few years ago THEN I will believe that the war in Iraq was about stealing the oil out from under the Iraqi people. Until then, I see nothing wrong with US forces occupying Iraq to keep all that oil out of the hands of terrorists, insurgents, and the Iranians. As far as defining terrorism and having a narrow mind.......we saw what terrorists are capable of on September 11, 2001. And the only good terrorist as far as I am concerned is a DEAD terrorist. Any other questions???

The definition of terrorism is not set by the US. It is defined in English dictionaries universally.

Flying planes into buildings IS terrorism. Removing a dictator who killed and/or tortured anyone who he thought was a threat to his power is not an example of terrorism.

Not all people in Iraq share the view you have espoused. The Kurds, in particular, do not view us as terrorists. In fact, according to your beloved New York Times and Sabrina Tavernise over 80% of Iraqis would want the US to invade and remove Saddam all over again. Those that would view the US as a "Terrorist nation" have lost the meaning in translation.

Iraq sells its oil on the international marketplace. And all things considered when you factor in all the expenses the US has in Iraq we are paying a very exorbitant price for Iraqi oil.

So yes, "they" are wrong, although I am not certain "they" exist.

Why shouldn't we define it? The IRA defined it. It's the same thing. It's a tactic to use fear to instill confusion and secularism in a society. The Islamic terrorist are doing the same thing. But they are doing it everywhere in the world. You can still be liberal and tough. We need to stay tough. It's world domination they desire.

I think the term terrorism is almost entirely misleading, and has been used for decades to describe violence which would be better dealt with through a much more thorough understanding. It's a dismissive term used to justify violence to solve violence, rather than solving the problems leading to violence and trying to perpetrators of violence in the regular, perfectly capable court system.

michael moore, the iraqi government is already negotiating with American oil companies. They want them to "come to the rescue" to invest in rebuilding the oil infrastructure. In return, they will receive a substantial percentage of the profits.

Everybody who uses fear to rule is a terrorist.
Do you think GB used fear or patriotism to be elected the second time?

Really? Have you interviewed any Iraqis that say this?

You have any links to reports of Iraqis stating this view?

Or is it just supposition on your part because there are insurgents there who happen to hate us because we liberated them?

We're not terrorists, but we're gonna be the one who gets the oil before it runs out.

Let's see, Iraqi's have said the difference between the insurgents and the US military is that the insurgents are paid to take lives, the US military is paid to save them. Does that answer your question?
