my friend..got raped and now shes pregnant.
the guy that raped her is her cousins best friend...but thats beside the point.
shes pregnant, and her parents wont help her at all.
they told her that she could have stopped herself from getting raped and told her that if she has the baby shes going to get kicked out. she 4 months..and she doesnt know what to do.
what can we do to get help?

What do you mean her parents said she could've stopped it...? That's ridiculous...you can't do much to stop that and she's probably upset about it so saying something like that isn't going to help at ALL. Anyway, she should find a friend or even another relative she can live with. And has she considered giving the baby up for adoption?

Today they had two women on it that got scam about adoption
My cousin was raped, she gave the baby to a family that knew about the rape
She did have some regrets, but she always knew she did the right thing
I would suggest to look into adoption
Sometimes the people help out with expenses

I see adoption as an act of love. I know people who gave children to loving families
I know people who adopted children because the could not have any of their own
I can tell you, if you pick the right family, the child will be loved.

I am not too sure what your friends beliefs are as in pro choice or pro life. She needs to go to the doctors though and take care of her self and the baby. There is sooo much help out there. Go to the yellow pages in the phone book and look for info on her getting help. Such a shame that her parents are acting like this. There is help out there and plenty of parents looking to adopt. good luck

There are program through your local department of social services, also look in your local yellow pages for womens centers that will provide your friend with couseling and anything else she may need. if they dont have they'll usually know where to get it. Abortion is not an option at 4 months along i dont think.

If your friend cannot deal with raising the baby conceived with a rapist, then she should give the baby up for adoption. There are a lot of married couples out there who would love to adopt a baby. There are places where pregnant girls can live until they have the baby. And if she decides to give the baby up for adoption, the adoption people will provide a place to live and all medical and food expenses. I hope everything works out for your friend. And your being a good friend to look for help for her.

If she wants to give it up she can contact places like project cuddle. It is a non profit group that helps girls in her situation find adoptive parents for their babies. She also needs to get some counseling regardless of what she decides to do about the baby.

I find it hard to believe her parents would say she could of stopped the rape. Sounds like something someone would say on an very special after school special

She needs to get to a doctor. Tell her to go to the planned parenthood and get verification of the pregnancy. Then she will have to go to the medicaid office and apply for medicaid. They can also help her find a place to live. I don't know what state you live in but it's easy if you live in New York. She's probably going to have to go on some type of assistance if she wants to keep the baby. It's going to be hard.
