She said he "questioned her patriotism" but what he said was:

"I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the al Qaeda strategy. The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit."

Pelosi complained at this point, that Cheney questioned her Patriotism. To which he responded:

"I'm not sure what part of it is that Nancy disagreed with. She accused me of questioning her patriotism. I didn't question her patriotism. I questioned her judgment. You also have to be accountable for the results. What are the consequences of that? What happens if we withdraw from Iraq?"

So why is Pelosi claiming he questioned her patriotism? He said nothing like that. Is Pelosi doing it to appear as a victim?

Essentially, Speaker Pelosi cannot answer Cheney's criticism.

Anyone who looks objectively at what is going on in this country, can see that Pelosi's recommended course, plays directly into the Al Qaeda Plan.

She can't admit to that...not and secure any support from the American people. But, at the same time, she has to pacify the extremists in her party by attacking Bush and the War at every opportunity.

That is a tough line to walk...and Cheney called her on it.

I thought her immediate reaction was hysterical. First, she accused him of calling her unpatriotic...which he did not do. But then, she indicated that she was going to "call the President" and and force him to silence him.

I have to wonder, is that like calling Cheney's mother or father and getting him in trouble?

How totally absurd!

I think Cheney was really saying :

I think we can not do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, we will do all we can to validate the Big Oil Strategy. The Big Oil Strategy is to break the will of the American people to persuade us to stay in Iraq and never come home and the Big Oil wins because we wont quit.

She's a cry-baby. She's spent every possible second of her time publicly criticizing the Bush administration from the time she's had any public influence. When someone disagrees with her uses the media to portray herself as a kicked dog and calls the president to cry about it? Let's all pray that the President and Vice President maintain good health throughout the rest of the term.

Liberals hear what they want to hear and spin the rest. Pelosi is obviously building a smoke screen that the liberal media will try to pound into our heads over the weekend, so it will by reported as Gospel on Monday. No one will remember what Vice President Cheney said.

Great question. This is typical of people like Pelosi. Don't actually address the facts or issues, just jump up and down and yell the same thing over and over until it is accepted as the truth.

Victim points? She's just not taking it anymore. This is what Crazy Uncle Dick does-he'll smear you six ways to Sunday, say anything short of accusing of paying for the 9/11 pilots flight lessons, then, after the damage is done,we always get "I didn't call anybody's patriotism into question."

You on the right need to get it through you're heads-WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.I even typed it out in nice big letters for you.

Simple answer. This government has played since the beginning on one aspect that is VERY sensitive to the American people.
Honor, patriotism and fear.
They played it so well that half the nation has been brain washed with this crap ... one thing though.
Rumsfeld quit
Bush is slowly backing up
But Cheney (the master mind of Iraq from the beginning) still hold his horses. Go figure ....
My dad (may he rest in peace) use to say ... "Only idiots don't change their minds when faced with the truth they so badly tried to avoid"

and you are saying that Cheney was never given the chance to solve the problems in Iraq? He was just vice President in 2007? Kerry stole those missing $9 Billioins in Iraq?
Kerry granted the contract to Halliburton without a bid?

Oh! that would be very bad of Mrs. Pepsi!!!
