How do you stop a friend from 'morphing' you?

Oh sure that happens all the time. Go shopping with friends, you find something, they want the same thing. If it's just the odd thing or two, it's not a problem. If someone were to copy everything you did, that's another story. Would probably become irritating.

Yes I have had this before - if you look at it from another perspective, it could look like flattery - your friend obviously thinks that whatever it is you are doing is good - hence the reason he/she is doing it also! But it can get tedious - just sit down together and somehow - I know it's easier said than done - drop into the conversation that you have noticed (just a little bit!!) that he/she is doing some things the same as you!! If it's something like wearing the same clothes - you could start by saying (in a humourous tone!) - "well as you have recently decided to start dressing like me, there's no need to buy new clothes, just wear mine!" I know it sounds silly but really, it did work for me and we are still the BEST of friends.

Go shopping with them, pick a top or something, she is bound to buy the same, next day go back to the shop and exchange it for something else, just do it till she gets the message and hopefully she'll stop morphing you all the time, good luck.

Yea all the time, I'm pretty much the coolest person I know.

If you want to copy me too, that's cool. I like me so if everyone was me that would be totally awesome.

The sad thing is, I am so awesome because I copied someone else's awesomeness.

Not just my friends. Not because I'm popular but because I'm smart. I think you should tell them. My friend last year kept copying me and one of my best friend noticed so when they got in a fight, my best friend borough it up like "I least I don't copy Gennesis!" (Gennesis is my name) She stopped copying me from then on.

Yes I have... I spoke to her and told her to be more confident about herself and to dress and act like HERSELF.... at the end I told her that she was copying me even in the way I talked and that it annoyed me... she stopped and now we are not as close as before.

Start doing/wearing whatever you know they wil absolutly hate and if they still copy you confont them. They do say copying is a form of flatter though so maybe you should be pleased
