If it's ok for one gender to show their nipples in public then it's also ok for the other gender to show their nipples in public.

I don't think there should be any problems with this. Breasts are after all means of feeding a baby. Men show their breasts off. Men have made women's breast into something shameful and dirty and it is time this can be resolved. In Ontario, Canada and Europe it is quite acceptable to go to the beach topless and nobody stares or makes any type of nasty remark. A man saying something derogatory would be viewed as vulgar and undeducated.

It matters where public is. There are many topless beaches in Europe with many men and women there and no one really cares. But, I don't think it would be wise being topless in a city, town, etc, especially in American. The reason is because men are much more visually stimulated than women, and especially when things that are usually covered up such as boobs show up, many guys can't stop staring. I think porn for main stream America and ads are a big reason for this, especially in America. But, the reason it is not at the extent in Europe is because boobs aren't sexualized through the media like they are in America. They are obviously attractive and sexual, but I think the media and society perceptions also have a major influence as well. That is why it is also not a big deal for these beaches is, because they are there in the open, and eyes eventually get adjusted to the sight, because it is a regular thing at the beach. If women want to, go ahead, I definitely don't have a problem with it, but doing so in cities would not be wise.

In Europe women actually can go topless at the beaches, although say germans are more likely to do it than Italians. But yes Iam in general for nipple equality. Women cant always retire to a private place to breastfeed, like if they are busy chasing criminals. If a woman is allowed to breast feed while taking down a serial killer or fighting in Iraq or the like other girls shouldnt be discriminated against only because they dont happen to have a baby.

It's kinda funny.
When ask what you think of those such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears most disapprove. Most that did approve stated they would not do it themselves.
Looks like a double standard.
Personally, the nipples should be covered.

I never understood this myself. Why do they blur the nipples on women on TV when it is the actual breast that is different. It would seem that they would blur it to make them look flat, but allow the nipple to show.

Of course they should. I'm a breastfeeding mama, and I routinely breastfeed in public. I don't go out of my way to show my nipples, but I'm not ashamed, either.
