From the video footage I've seen of tests the system doesn't work any way. Mind you, if our Allies want to be so generous as to give us a few missiles, as opposed to us paying billions of dollars, I'm sure our esteemed Chancellor of the Exchequer would leap at the chance to ease the financial burden on the British taxpayer.

You can be sure that Britain and other countries who accept this sort of thing would be the first targets in the event of war.
They would always be under the control of the americans who could use their presence for political blackmail.
Does anybody seriously believe that Iran and North Korea have a vision of world domination. Their record in terms of attacking other countries is negligable in comparison with the USA.

It is still being considered by the British. Some of the people do not want to be a part of anything that could mean that their country would be a target. Would the shield really defend them etc.
Tony Blair wants the shield, but the people feel that he is too close to the U.S. & is too influence by our government.

Rouge states? Hm. Max Factor had a lot of influence. I say, it sounds like hokum given extant technologies. Government just doens't know what to do with itself these days it seems. Anybody's government.

That's like asking would having a police officer stand next to you make you more safe.

Of coarse it would. Even if the system barely worked, you'd still be MORE safe than you would without it.

I say no chance!

Us British don't want to suffer from any of the Americans 'friendly fire'.

We can protect ourselves hopefully.
