dems welcome narrow-minded conservatives with open arms? Do they honor narrow-minded conservatism with the same legitimacy and access as they do all other creeds, religions, or worldviews ... or is this the ONE ideology they feel must be stopped?

Tolerant? Pluralistic? Free speech? All inclusive? Are you sure you are describing the right party here? So you are saying that conservitives are narrow minded and yet claim that you are tolerant? By the way, you liberals don't exactly seem open minded with questions like this. I have met far more open minded conservatives then liberals, and the news (on any channel) shows it as well though not directly. So watch how you say some things because it can come back to haunt you.

You have the right to say whatever you want, but we do have the right to say that we disagree... some liberals get kind of pissy about how we can disagree, you know, be careful not to offend anyone's race, that sort of thing... but really they're right to say that we should be trying to build constructive dialogue instead of trying to insult the other side. Some people get caught up in the PC stuff without understanding where it comes from, and that's when liberals start looking closed-minded or hypocritical. Narrow-minded conservatives have the same problem... anyone talks badly about U.S. policies, and they are treasonous haters of the fatherland. You can't expect everyone on both sides to make sense all of the time.

And by the way, conservatives can say what they want but when they start kidnapping people all over the world and sending them to foreign nations to be tortured, then bomb civilians in wars that don't make any sense or have any kind of strategy or diplomacy, that's the limit, it's time to whip out the impeachin' stick

I can't speak for every liberal, just for myself. Yes, however, I wouldn't stereotype all conservative thought as narrow-minded.
To do so would be narrowminded on my own part.

The beauty of free speech is that when all sides are expressed (coherently, with out the injection of singsong rhetoric) sometimes an idea will catch on and change the world.

I'm not so stupid that i think no one's smarter than me. I'm willing to look at other views.

The problem with your question is that a large number of the left call themsoves tolerant while being intolerant, call themselves pluralistic all while choosing positions based on political gain not what is best for the country(Hillary and if I knew then what I know now...she got the same information that everone else did to decide on the Iraq vote), say they are for free speech except when it counters thier own views(the Fairness Doctrine in broadcasting), say they are all inclusive yet still feel minority groups need a hand up because they cannot make it on their own(Affirmative Action) and feel they truly are Liberal when they seek to restrict the rights of groups they don't agree with(helmets for motorcycle riders, restricitng private property rights, restriciting smoking in private businesses, etc).

I think all narrow-mindness must be stopped. everyone is narrow-minded at one time or another and if people aren't exposed to other views we'd all be narrow minded.
narrow-mindedness is intolerance and can lead to injustice and in some cases violence.
I hope to enlighten narrow minded people and show them the beauty of knowledge and release the stress people feel when they can't accept things/people they can not change

From the way you wrote your question, I'm willing to bet you're one of the dems. Let's see, we're called narrow-minded, bigoted, intolerant homophobes. does that sound very welcoming? We accept the rights of people to live their lives how they choose, we just don't believe we should be forced to accept it. What justice is there in forcing people to accept something they believe is a perversion? None. We believe we all have rights, the same basic rights. If you don't like it, leave.

It is hard to argue that we must encourage, neo-conservatism in the form that Bush and Cheney and the lemming like sheeple propogate. Old style Conservatism and Republicanism is acceptable to most people.

Liberals are not tolerant, pluralistic, free-speech or all-inclusive.

Apparently they only welcome those who actually agree with them.
