out of the blue tells a man that his wife is "not much competition" (making the inference that the wife is not attractive when indeed she is very attractive.) I think I know the answer, but I just need to hear it.

GreenGras...actually she works in a grocery store and I see her quite a bit a I'm always being sent to the store. My wife and I went to the store together the other night and went through her checkout line. I spoke and was friendly as usual. But today when I went through her line, she came up with this. Very observant of you. But there is no inappropriate relationship, unless you call being friendly to the check out girl inappropriate.

She's insecure (not a big shock, most women seem to be these days) and needs to hear it from you....take this as a hint of how needy/clingy she's going to be in the future. Insecure women are the ones who later become paranoid and accuse you of cheating when you only tipped the waitress or accidently linger too long looking at someone of the opposite sex.......

Red Roses is right all the way and so are the ppl who mentioned the woman's insecurity.
However, I'm as intrigued by what was said before her statement to prompt her to make that remark. And what sort of relationship do you have with her that would make her think she could say that about your WIFE? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like your relationship with her is already inappropriate or dangerously close to being so.
Was he comment TOTALLY "out of the blue"? If so, I'd go back and tell her how inappropriate her comment was, that she was totally wrong because you do not want her and that you think your wife is the most attractive woman you've ever seen. Can't do it face to face? Send an email. Then stay away from her. She's up to no good.

It means that she is a no good homewrecker thattakes pleasure in getting other womens husbands in the sack. Tell her she is right...there is NO competition because she cannot hold a candle to your wifes, class, looks, morals, and integrity. People like this woman should not be allowed to roam the earth, they are scum. Better yet, tell your wife and let her go beat the shiit out of her.

That she's disrespectful of your wife, you dolt. Did you tell her that she's a disrespectful wench?
I would be highly offended by that remark, and she'd hear about proper behavior for a lady as opposed to a tramp.
Only on Yahoo Answers would people disapprove of you standing up for your wife and honoring your vow to "protect" her while making excuses for bad behavior.
In fact, I'd say "Yeah, my wife would lose to you in a competition for who's the biggest tramp".
