Not exactly, some girls are shallow enough to go for a jerk.
But it's better to be friendly.

Its not the only way but it certainly helps! Differnet girls want different things from guys. But dint go too far accross the friedship barrier as if you become to much there friend they may not see you in a bf kinda way nemore. My advice is if you like a girl be yourself, be confident and if you have got that one girl you like just go for it. If you sit around for toolong sum1 will get the confidence to ask her out, Acting in a friendly manner is a given you should do it anyway.
