The reason Temple has never done so well is because it is a tough academic school to get into and it snows a lot in Philly which no top notch athlete want to be in unless it is a Big 10 school.
To dispel the respondents that say it is the environment where the school is located you are wrong. USC is in the middle of South Central Los Angeles and they haven't always had championship programs but they get the recruits because of the weather, and girls.

Temple won over the weekend breaking a 20game loosing streak. The worst team in College Football is Duke. Current 16 game losing streak

They're in a downward spiral. They don't have the players to win games so they can't attract any new players with a pitch line like "hey come to a winning team" they have to take a harder approach and try to recruit players by telling them they can have playing time and build the foundation for football at the university. That is a harder pitch to sell. So they ultimately have trouble playing football because they can't get any good recruits.

Because their Athletic Director can't get it through his head that Temple cannot compete with Division 1A football programs across the country. He needs to down grade the program in order to be competitive. Until that happens expect the same year after year after year.

Well they have a terrible crowd on home-field, there coach stinks, and they have bad players. If they had one of those than the might have won a game in the last 2 years!

They suck because they are in center city Philadelphia. Were criminals and murderers run wild. They can't recruit good players cause no body wants to live in that enviorment.

Their my Fav NCAA team since i was lil but they dont recruit well coach well and their playcalling has gone down the drain 2

They are a basketball type college in sports. That is why the Big East got rid of them.
