ive worked hard all my life and i need a career change can you help im 50 years old and will give most things a try thanks

It's always worthwhile having a chat with EGSA (Educational guidance support for adults). I know they have an office in Belfast city centre (I think it's up around where INST school is). You haven't said where you live in NI, so its hard to be specific about what your options are exactly. Your local tec will have a career advisor who can also give you advice on training schemes being offered there. Also check out the Tele on a Tuesday and Friday night for the jobfinder paper.

if you have car licence why not try for your pcv/hgv licence,thats if like meeting people then the buses,they will pay for your test and have to remain employed for a certain period or pay them the costs of training,or if your married there is many hgv jobs that do no involve long distance or continental so you are home a lot.
