Confront her about it. Let her know that you know about the gossiping and that you never would've thought that she would do something like that. Then thank her for showing you what a snake she is,saving you the trouble of being stabbed in the back and having to go through turmoil due to her wagging tongue.And when you tell her,say it in the most sweetest voice you have and show her how relieved you are knowing that you don't have to deal with her anymore. Then move on and make new friends.

You step aside from being her friend until she apologizes and realizes what she has done and she will do it no more. Ur trust for her has probably faded now...u need to let her know...if she doesn't care she probably isnt a good friend. She needs to try and gain it back if shes a true friend. But dont talk about her behind her back...because then you are just becoming like her.

confront her...an if the problem doesnt work then you will know she isnt your bestfriend because best friends dont do that
