No... you need to wait until you missed your period.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

An early results test (like First Response) may be able to tell if you're pregnant 5 days before your period is due. This is the earliest that you can test (well, of course it's never harmful to test anyway but this is the first you can expect a positive). Most women ovulate in the middle of their cycle & you only conceive when ovulating so if you had sex closer to the time of your period then there is less of a chance of pregnancy. If you get a negative result on an early results test but no period then it may have just been too early to test. Best of Luck!

You can take a pregnancy test at anytime! LOL. If you're looking for accurate results, you need to wait until you've actually "missed" your period. If you're on a 28-day menstrual cycle like most women are, then just count 28 days since the start of your last period. Thats when you should expect to start your next period. If you don't get it on time, then that is when you can start testing. It still may not be positive though. It all depends on when you actually ovulated.

HPT's are sometimes sensitive enough to detect from 10 dpo at the earliest, thos some women say they have gotten a positive at 7dpo.I wouldn't test that early simply because for most women, that's too early. Some women won't get a positive for days or weeks after missing a period.Best to wait until you are actually late because it can cause a lot of anxiety if you are ttc and if it's neg and you are actually preg you might delay taking proper care of yourself and baby.

No the earliest you can test is 5 days prior to the time you expect your period with a early regnancy test, however it is better to wait until after missing your period.
