Marty got his a*s handed to him the other day by Ray Emery in a fight!
It was hilarious.

Miller is usually the man between the pipes these days, but Biron has been doing well when he's been called upon. Personally, I think the team puts too much stock in Miller and that Biron is the more consistent coal tender, but I'm just a 19 year old girl so I don't claim to know everything. The best thing Biron has done this year, though, was probably last night when the 6'3" 163 pound goalie skated right up to 6'2" 202 pound Ray Emery and punched him during the huge brawl in the second period. Emery flattened him in about 30 seconds, but Biron never gave up. That's what I call grit. You know Miller would have cowered down on the ice after wetting himself and pulled the net over top of himself if Emery started skating his way. It's kind of long but it shows you just how tough Biron is. I love him and I really hope he doesn't go in a last minute trade because he's a huge asset to the Sabres team and I don't know who would replace him if Miller gets hurt!

ya and anyone who looks at the league standings will tell u that the sabres are the best...they are amazing. Ya biron may have not beat emery but he's got ball$ he went after emery knowing full well that emery had at least 40 lbs on him. He even said so in the interview after the game. thats just guts plain and simple he was sticking up for his teammates and his captain. as far as being a goaltender YA he is good he would easily be the starting goalie for every other team in the nhl. b4 we had miller biron started for us...miller is better but biron is awesome 2

I don't know if they are the best team, Nashville and Detroit are also doing very well.
But yes, Biron has been playing well when given the chance. And to be honest, he deserves a starting role on another team.
EDIT: shastydaisy, why would Biron fight Emery to stand up for Drury? What did Emery do to Drury, that doesn't make any sense.
spanker1473, Biron STARTED the fight with Emery, he fully chose to fight him. I do like Biron, esp when with Hull in the Q.

Yes, Biron is the best back-up in the league, he's had an awesome season. And to tell you the truth, I dont buy in to the whole "Ryan Miller is God" thing that most of the "Bandwagon" fans believe, and I usually feel more comfortable when Biron is between the pipes.

Anyone who says Biron deserves to be a starting goalie, learn the sport of hockey. Biron has won a lot more than lost, but why don't you go back and look at the scores of games he wins? He gets scored 3+ goals most of the games, he wins because the offense scores so many goals when he starts. He isn't NEAR as good as Miller, but he is only decent. Miller is definetly the better goalie if you actually watch them both play.

No, Marty Biron has not done good this year....... He's done GREAT, it will be sad to see him go upon the trade deadline. You'll see the Sabres play at some point this year my friend... in the Stanley Cup Finals.

yes marty is a very good goalie.he deserves to be a starting goalie but i would hate to see him leave the sabres.all the other players say he is the heart and soul of the team,he is always positive and jokes around with everybody,always has a smile on his face.i watched him when he played in the minor league.he was good then but he has matured and improved.when miller broke his hand last year marty set a franchise record with most consecutive wins.....

yes they ARE the best team. he got into a fight and received a 1 game misconduct. otherwise he is holding it down when miller rests.
