Normally you'd have a big match-up on SD like Batista or Taker fighting.With WM coming up they want to keep the big guns fresh without any injury.It's in Vince's interest to ensure his top stars don't get sidelined.Just look at HHH - that threw DX out the window.
Also WWE want to keep the big matches for the main event ie WM23.That's the highlight show of the year.They still have a 2-hour show to broadcast here & in the US.So they show "best of" matches from the vault to fill in the time. Expect the full card on SD after Mania.

I think it's a stupid idea, especially the fact that the matchs are only from a couple of months ago. If they insist on this feature they should at least put classic matches on from years gone by.
Otherwise give some guys who don't get much T.V time a match. (e.g Cruiserweights/ tag teams.)
