and therefore can not understand the writings in the Quoran (Koran).

All over the world people are reliant on Imams' translation of the Koran and know the great book by 'cramming' and reciting word for word everything they cannot understand.

Stephen W.... Thanks for making my point for me. That is the point the question makes. If Muslims could read the Koran and understand it, then maybe like me with the Bible, they would be able to make a choice as to whether they want to read it.

OnlyOne... I too have been to Sierra Leone on business, where the majority 99% are Muslim. Less than .005% can read or understand the Quoran. That is a population of 6 million. Now extrapulate that across the world.....

I honestly don't want to believe that the problem is Muslim, Islam or Arabic - I prefer to think that it's a demented, blood lust group of terrorists who have interpreted the Qua'ran as meaning to literally slaughter all of the nonbelievers.
Their threats and promises are those of a demented ideology of world dominance under sharia law. Their tactics are terror and murder. There is no gray areas in their threats - they mean to convert or kill all infidels.
What I find even more disturbing is the apparent total lack of outrage from the vast majority of Muslims over this indiscriminate slaughter of innocent men, women and children - while at the same time rioting and killing over the Pope's statements and a couple of published cartoons. It is of concern to me to think that there is somehow a passive acceptance of these tactics by the mainstream Muslin population.
That conclusion would be very disturbing, as well it should be.

because human beings are naive and they tend to swallow something. at the same time as human beings comprehend that faith is a prepare utilized by many to extorts others than we are able to have peace on the planet. The Quran obviously tell adult males to conquer their better halves and human beings nevertheless might want to discover an excuse to inform you that it truly is merely at the same time as the spouse disobeys Allah for this reason i ask your self what's the punishment for a adult males who disobeys Allah, i wager no longer something reason in Islam the adult males is more suitable to the ladies human beings. Smacking your spouse might want to no longer be tolerated even if she cursed at Allah, the different cult will a minimum of inform you that. human beings will continually discover an excuse for the atrocities dedicated contained in the call of Islam. yet finally people will evolve and grow to be smarter. they are going to finally keep in mind that Islam has no position in a cutting-edge society if its followers can no longer figure correct from incorrect.

Many Muslims are not Arabs. Kazakhstan is an Islamic country in Central Asia. It is not Arabic. Indonesia is in the Pacific. It is also Islamic, but a Pacific Islander country. Iran is Persian and Islamic. Turkey is Islamic and European.

While that is a nice thought I do not think it is the problem. Those that do speak Arabic seem to be the most vigilant in perpetrating terror.

The exact translation of what many think is God is Great, Allah Ackbar, is actually Allah is the Greatest. In other words; one of the most basic sayings in Islam is that our god is better than your god. That is hardly something which if attributed to translation error seems to point in the direction you are indicating.

The problem with any religion, not just Islam, is extremists who are intolerant of others.

I don't know if this answers your question, but I've been to Africa where my family is from...majority is muslim but we are not. They seemingly brainwash their communities by constantly playing things from th Quoran. I don't think the people have much of a choice....

I've done some research, and it seems like muslim people should be very humble people. But, if you have been raised to interperet it incorrectly, then you will live your life int he same way.

Don't you remember how long it took to get the translations of the Ben Lauden video tapes just after 9/11? There are different dialects but it's still the same language. People in Afghanistan were murdered by the Taliban just because they didn't speak the same Arabic.

SHAKIR: He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.
