Do you have anyone that you still have anger towards from the past or now? Is your life hard because of others who did this to you and why?

Well...

My grandfather messed up the house pretty bad. He used to rent here, but my mother had to kick him out (three months notice of course). Here's how the house was:

Carpet and tile covered in his four dogs' poop and piss. Holes drilled all over the walls, you wouldn't believe it if you saw it. Holes in the walls. He painted over the dog hair on the wall. He has never given his dogs a both since he adopted them 6 years ago and he admits it. Thus, there dog hair, poop, dirt, pee, and dog food and slobber all over the place (the counters, the bathrooms, the floors, the walls).

How the house is after 5 months:

livable. cleaned for 3 months straight. no carpet (i think i covered why..). cleaned and painted walls..no sideboards..still has a bit of hair..but overall livable..let's just say it'll cost 50,000 ta fix it up and we don't have that...

He also has to the nerve to go around calling US slobs

I guess I'm eTiReLy happy with him.

It used to be. I was angry with someone and it crippled me. But after a years of anger and resentment and UNFORGIVENESS I learned to give that person an excuse for what they did and learned to blame it on other things that made them do it (abuse,
anger, drugs, bad childhood, anything I could think of) and finally I was able to forgive someone who didn't even care if I forgave him or not!! He would surely have preferred I went on being twisted with hate for him.

Forgiveness finally freed me and now I can live as a whole person again. It felt like a 400 lb. rock had been taken off my back the day I felt myself letting that hatred go. Had I known I would feel it so profoundly, I would have worked much harder trying to forgive that man long before I finally did. @8-) Good Luck!

We all have a past. I know people in my past have done things that affected me negatively, but I'm an adult now. At a certain point, you have to be responsible for your own happiness and stop living in the past, blaming others for why you refuse to pull yourself up by your boot straps, and better your own life in spite of them.
