Is it possible to get dried egg off of a paint job without ruining the paint??

If it has not been left on the car for more then 8 hours or so. After that the decomposing egg produces hydrogen sulfide (that rotting egg smell) which combines with moisture in the air to produce H2SO4 - more commonly known as sulfuric acid which will eat thru sooooo many things that the paint (and maybe the body of the car) will be etched or scarred.

If you can get to it early, however, it will generally wash off without any further problems.

(So stop reading this, grab a bucket of suds and a towel and start moving on that car !!)

I'm not positive, but goo gone in the cleaning isle at walmart gets almost anything off without damaging surfaces. Good luck, I'm sorry your car got egged :(
