Absolutely good hockey! Hockey is still the most fast paced hard hitting game on earth. For a reason. You move at that speed game in game out and things happen that cannot be controlled by the REFS.You must defend your teams honor and respect at all costs and I'm glad the league still hasn't sanctioned it out of the game.YET! If the league wants to expand the fan base they had better keep it at least as entertaining as some of my 17Yr.old sons high-school games. This is HOCKEY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT

Ahhh this fight was classic. These are the things you dream of as a huge hockey fan. I love watching goalie fights and just fights in general. And Dig Em, that was a cheapshot by Neil. Supporting neither side, Neil came in with his elbow and put it to the head of Drury. The league should've done something, but their not strong enough. Colin Campbell needs to grow some balls to suspend another Senator for another stupid action(other action being Emery slashing Lapierre). Just another showing of the downfall of the league. And to classify Avery as unclassy is way out of line. Have you watched Avery in New York? He's playing phenominal. And he's doing his job, getting in the faces of players and making them take dumb penalties. Their are players all around the league that do this, but you didn't mention them? The Sens fans need to show their real pride and say this was a cheap shot. Stop pretending you kno about hockey and stop ruining the game!! It's idiots like you that don't kno hockey that caused the NHL to start calling this gay ticky-tack penalty crap....

Awesome game!!! Saw the whole game that night...you are not a real hockey fan if you think that hit was a cheap shot...I manage minor hockey and we are always telling them to keep their heads up, because even a legal hit (see Scott Stevens' hit on Eric Lindros) can almost end someone's career. Players in the NHL are allowed to finish their checks, and Drury dished off the puck maybe 1.5 seconds before Neil hit him...he should have had his head up, not admiring the pass he made...watch the hit in slow motion, and you'll see Neil's elbow come up AFTER the hit...Drury's head was injured after hitting the ice...and as far as cheap shots go, there are other players who go after knees and heads on a regular basis, deliberately attempting to injure the stars for other teams...you never want to see anyone getting seriously injured, but players have to keep their heads up!

That was a clean hit. Boo Hoo if you Sabres candy asses can't handle that.

No respect for an enforcer who targets an opponents goalie to fight with. There's a unspoken rule among enforcers on who they should fight and when. Regardless of whether Emery was a boxer previously. He's wearing a lot more equiptment than Peters. Plus he had already had one fight moments earlier.
Andrew Peters job is to be a fighter, Emery's is to stop pucks.

If Peters were to lose that fight He'd be the laughing stock of the league. Instead since he probably won a close decision He's just become a member of the group of enforcers that have no class like Brashear or Avery.

That was a great game! Thats why hockey will always be the best sport! You don't let one of your best stars get popped like that without getting revenge! A dirty hit like that is uncalled for and your teammates will back you up and make sure a hit like that is avenged! Baseball.....you get tossed for just arguing with the umpire. Basketball, they get fined for leaving the bench! Football, heck, they get fined for celebrating in the endzone! But in hockey, its GAME ON! And I for one, was cheering for Lindy Ruff when he told his 3 top fighters to go and RUN 'EM! That was great!

Yeah, it was good, I am a huge Sabres fan, and I was yelling, screaming, going nuts when it was on "OMG, BIRON AND EMERY, BIRON AND EMERY" 30 seconds later "OMG, PETERS!! LETS GO PETERS!! LETS GO PETERS!!" So fun lol. Biron knew he'd get owned by Emery (Amateur boxer before in hockey) but he had the balls to take him on, I give him credit. It was a very good game altogether, except for Chris Drury getting hurt (Way late, suspend Chris Neil, he sucks anyways). But it came down to the shootout and Stafford capped off his good night (A little fight with Neil to protect his teammate, 2 assists) by scoring the lone goal in the shootout, Gerber read it right, but wasn't fast enough. Miller stopped all 4 shots, and that's how it's done. Sabres = Stanley Cup, END OF DISCUSSION.

I am from Buffalo... so I will assure you two things.. a) it was a great game..... justice will be served, b) Sens Coach Murray should have known better putting his hot shots on the ice after decking our co captain. If you aren't into hockey, or just looking into it, this is not the best representation as many Hockey Outlets... ( I may have a bias, but I ref and coach Little League ) have said that (as usual in Buffalo, Ottawa games) the reffing was sub par.

The game ended up decent--BUF come from behind spurred by the widespread fisticuffs. It's great to see such passion and honor--the precipitating factor was the shot to the Sabres captain and things quickly deteriorated thereafter.
