I charge $20-$25 dollars for about 4-5 hours a time. $10 -15 for 2- 2 1/2 hours. If she baby sits all day, i'd say $20 - $25 dollars and maybe a $10 gift card to the video store / restraunt.

Ask other moms what they pay their babysitters. The going rate where I live and I'm sure other places has jumped in the last few years; it's now around ten dollars an hour. But talk with other moms and your babysitter to figure out a good rate.

It depends on the area you live in. I know a 17 year old student who can babysit for $5/hour. I also know a girl who babysits for twins for $20/hour. I think you should ask your neighbors.

I would say somewhere between 30-40dollars for today. If she will be sitting on a regular basis, daily for a five day workweek, I would think $150.00 a week would be adequate, plus movie tickets, or gas money, some other token of your appreciation.

10 bucks an hr. woah! 30 bucks is way too little especially with a 4 month old baby!

I'm 17 and to tell you the truth i think 30 is good enough. But you can maybe throw in alittle something extra (not excactly money) maybe a gift card to the movies or something.

It depends on what area you live in. Ask other people who have babysitters what they pay them. Some areas pay more and some less. Maybe $6 an hour.

depends how much you make if you can afford it then $7/hr sounds good to me if you can't afford that then $5/hr.
since it is 8hrs you have to look at it two ways, 8hrs is a long time to look after a baby so you don't want to be mean but you don't want to be over paying her for the work leaving you with a loose wallet

$30.00 is fair. 4.00 an hour is about the average in most daycares. My mother charges 30.00 per day for "drop ins" and she includes meals in that
If you like make it 35.00
