My favourite TV show ever. I'm a veteran myself and I know Alda did his character so well. Someone trapped in the craziness of war trying so badly to keep his head while his love for life itself and preserving just that never changed despite all he went through. It's an amazing show but Alan Alda certainly made it what it was. People say the show got a little to artsy when he got behind the camera but knowing what I know about what a person goes through in a war, I think it got better and better with him directing.

I've watched that show for as long as I can remember. I saw Alan guest star on ER as a doctor a few years ago. Thought they might make his character a little like he was on mash. But they didn't. I was a little disappointed. Anyway, I don't think there's anything you can do? Not unless you're into the whole celebrity stalker thing? Otherwise I guess just keep watching the show? I wonder if they have seasons on dvd yet??

buy the series dvds...all 12 seasons (1972-1982) are now available on dvd

I loved M.A.S.H. too!

The Alan Alda series was inspired by the 1970 movie M.A.S.H. (starring Donald Sutherland and Elliot Gould). You might want to rent that movie.

There was also a whole (hilariously funny) series of books about the M.A.S.H. characters (mostly Hawkeye and Trapper John) and what happens to them after they leave Korea.

Yeah, I watched it a few times but never really got into it. Alan Alda was quite cute and he's aged pretty well but he is 71 now, so...!

yes, one of my favorites too, the biggest problem I had on Mondays was deciding wether to watch Little House or MASH. I hated CBS for moving MASH to 7 central fro 8 central time. Get TV Land MASH is on EVERY NIGHT. :)

What should you do? Watch it more. They play reruns all the time during the day/night on TVLand.
