same thing happened to me...it sucks i know- either go back on it or deal with it. in this sense your acne has alot to do with your hormones...kinda like me, but i am on birth control...so its -ok-

Your body was used to the pill and now it is basically fending for itself. The pill was keeping the acne at bay but since you have stopped the pill it is accumulated and coming full force. I own and operate my own business and I have a wonderful acne treatment gel. I make all my products by hand and use all natural ingredients. My 16 year old son uses it and he loves it. Even I use it for when I break out around the time of month. I can send you a sample for Free and try it. Just send me an email with your name and address and i will send it out to you. Try it and let me know what you think. Also my website PetalsNLace, com

Ortho-Tricyclen was touted a few years ago as being the pill choice for controlling acne. As for the issue with the Proactiv it's possible that you could have been allergic to something in the product but as one of the other posters suggested consult a dr. Start with your primary care physician if the kind of insurance you have dictates that this is where you must start.

The hormones in BC help a lot of people with their acne. I had this problem when I went off for a couple months. For some people, even switching to a pill with lower hormone levels leads to acne.
