What do you think about women that hate men?

Isn't misandry just as wrong as misogyny?

Shouldn't we condemn female chauvinism and man-hating in much the same way that we condemn male chauvinism and sexism?

I have said for a long time that in this period in time, women are more openly sexist than men. And many men and even women have agreed with me. The reason is because it's true.

bluegirl:
you have proven my point, when i say that women want to act like there is no such thing as man-haters -- they want to sweep it under the rug and act like it doesn't exist. it does exist. if the problem didn't exist, then people wouldn't bring it up.

it all goes back to what i said about putting less criticism on female chauvinism and man-hating.

anonymous girl,

do you know what it's like to be a man? if not, then how can you say what comes "naturally" to men. it definitely isn't in my nature to hurt ANYONE, male or female. also, the fact that you say man-hating should be encouraged in this society shows that you are also a disgusting man-hating pig.

anonymous girl:

also, anonymous girl say men have "earned this." which men? men like me who treats women with respect, but only questions them when they begin to male-bash and man-hate, and exhibit the same sexist behavior that they claim to be against? judging by your short haircut, anonymous girl, it's a good assumption that you are a lesbian that hates men.

anonymous girl:

after looking at your other questions, it all makes sense now. you are a transsexual. in other words, you are a man that believes he's a woman. now we see where your deep-rooted hatred and animosity comes from. you perceive manhood based on how certain men in your life treated you, which was obviously wrong. you had a horrible childhood, and many people in your life that treated you wrong were men. so now you find the need to bash men as often as possible. the fact is, those men in your life do not represent all men or most men. most REAL WOMEN that are level-headed will tell you that they like most men, and most men treat them with love, respect, and dignity. especially women that grew up with loving, caring fathers.

it is a shame that you did not have the same upbringing as them. i hope one day your psychological state will improve, and realize God made you a man for a reason. please seek psychiatric therapy as soon as possible. help is only one phone call away.

Baba Yaga:

you're quick to male-bash, but the minute someone questions female misandrist behavior, you quickly ignore those questions and attack the person asking the question.

your character and nature is about as predictable as your current sex-life: boring and non-existant.

Er...

"I see that anyone who doesn't agree with your view is subject to derision. Sounds to me like you are the one with the 'issues': your denial, projection and blame underscores this."

Can be directed right back at the truly sexist posters who believe that misandry isn't worse than misogyny.

Women in the United States, if not more sexist then men, are at least more OPENLY sexist then men because it is accepted and they can get away with it. This isn't really affected by where you live; as a whole, women are definitely more sexist. You can see it in the media AND in daily life. Hell, doesn't the fact that 'misandry' is labeled a misspelled word by Yahoo! Answers and misogyny isn't ring a bell somewhere to anybody?

I agree with some of what you say. Yes, some women are sexist. However, studies have shown that most women are, in fact, sexist AGAINST women! Surprising, isn't it? Just look above at Cabochick! By being openly sexist against women, she shows her ignorance and gets in the way of equal rights. It's a pitty. As for the man-hating, it's just as much a detriment to the cause as men being woman-haters. There are at least 30 different sects of feminism. Militant feminism ("man-haters") is the face the media puts on feminism as a whole. Of course, this discourages many potential feminists by painting a radically incorrect picture.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that women are more openly sexist than men. I'd be skeptical until I saw actual published sources, but sexism in women does exist. But what is worse? A woman saying she hates men or the Glass Ceiling? And what about the fact that women still make only 76 cents for every dollar that a man makes in the same job and company? My sources are listed below.

One has to only look at the responses to this question to see how sexist many people are.

One person asserts that "hurting women comes naturally to men" and doesn't believe that is a sexist statement. Another asserts that men "can't handle constructive critisizm [sic] or advice, can't be told what to do, and have major control issues" and even tries to justify it as a biological side-effect of testosterone. I'm sure doctors and biologists around the world would be amazed to discover these apparently new and undocumented side effects of a hormone that naturally occurs in BOTH men and women!

If a man asserted that women couldn't control themselves because they have estrogen he would be called out as a pig, and rightly so. If a man asserted that no woman could control herself or that they were naturally vindictive, people I know would think him a refugee of some primitive culture.

Fairness dictates that women who engage in the same behaviour should recieve no less scorn heaped upon them. It is sad that those who even now still sometimes recieve the short-end of the stick because of their gender would carry out the very same hurtful prejudice. I would hope that they would understand from the unfairness of their situation how unfair such behaviours truly are.

But perhaps I hope for too much.

yeah sure of course. But that's not what's selling right now. Give it time. The media will get around to picking on women again. And besides, a lot of the women in the public eye are doing a better job of trashing the American female than the biggest macho pig ever could.

Oh, and anonymous girl, you don't need a shrink. Bunch of crooks practicing psuedo-science that, to my knowledge, never did anybody any good. Get one of your girlfriends to paddle you with a nail-studded frat bat. That might help.

Of course they are as bad as each other and anyone who tries to dismiss either misandry or misogyny and brush it under the carpet is just ignorant and silly.

But I do not agree that one gender is more openly sexist than the other. That is just what you have personally experienced and those around you, it doesn't make it the universal truth. I'm not too keen on people who believe their opinions stand for the truth, that is pretty arrogant.

HTH.

That's something about misandrists who scream that men are pigs...they are pointing a finger and they don't seem to realize that they have three fingers pointing right back at them!

And yes, there's rampant sexism...on the part of the feminists. Do you see Men's Studies here? How about Title IX, which makes it so fewer boys are in sports--if not enough girls show an interest, the boys' teams get cut down or out so it's equal.

What really interests me are the anti-male misandrists who claim that the world would be better off without males and feel they should be killed or castrated.

Having such an ill will like that kinda shows how 'superior' they are to the species they criticize, no? With sadistic intentions like that, would the world REALLY be better off with just females?

Saddest concept I ever heard was there is no such thing as a good MAN.

Good MEN and WOMEN is what makes familys work and the world go round. How sad and racist is such a comment.

The same as I think of the male aspect of all of that, I hate it, and think that all that fall to that are misguided idiots that should get a clue.

Cabochick, I pretty much feel the same as you when it comes to who I prefer to be friends with.

I feel really sorry for them. I work with someone who falls under this category and she tries to get other people to believe her hype with all these stupid challenging statements that make no sense.

I personally don't like women as much as men, so what does that make me? I find women very social, but it often manifests itself into very negative behaviours (gossip, pettiness, jealousy) I much prefer the company of men.
