Well that depends on how do you configure your router there is something called DMZ "Demilitarized Zone" then you can have all your shared stuff not visible to the other part of the network in this case the wireless part.

Unless you give permission to "share" the files on your computer, they can not be accessed by anyone else over a wireless network. Normally when you install the wireless driver, it will set up ONE directory that is shared. Anything you want to share, you simply put in that directory. Leave it empty and nothing can be accessed.

The wireless is just another connection. You are the only one who chooses the share rights on his files.

Here's a trick to see which of your files are shared and MOST IMPORTANT, WITH WHAT RIGHTS set on them: a shared file can be modified by other users or not: Access your own laptop on the network and look at what you see: those are your shared files and folders. If you try to modify them, and you succeed, then any other user, can. So go back on My Computer, find the file, or folder, right click on it and set the rights....right :))

yes you can, when you run the internet sharing wizard on the computer sharing the internet, un check the option that shares files. this will share the internet only and not the files.

insure ur WLAN has login/password credentials setup. do not leave it open to the world...

other than that, its just the same as land line... if you download a virus/spyware/trogan, then someone may be able to get to your stuff
