Everyone thinks selling avon is the easiest job in the world. But its not! Because you have no clue what you're going to end up making after 2 weeks. it could be 100 bucks or it could be 500 bucks. Also, when the orders come in, you have to open every....single...box and sort out every single item and fill out receipts and get them sent out and make sure you have ALL the money. Is this not stressful to you other avon sellers? I just got my stuff in for campaign 4 in the day before yesterday and i didnt get most of my stuff sent out until today because i was busy sorting it...(but i still have more to send out) Is there any way i can make this less stressful on me when the orders come in?

Not me! I love my job. I think there may be a work ethic issue at hand...anyone who is going to tell you that you can make money for NO work isn't being honest. Being an Avon Rep is what you make it.

If you're stressed by sorting orders and collecting money, then maybe it would be a good idea to come up with a more efficient way of running your business? I've got some tips that may help you out.

I find that doing my invoices in advance of receiving my shipment is a good way to stay ahead of the game. You can retrieve your invoice online days before receiving the shipment. Maybe this will help you too? You can set our your bags, insert the dated brochures for the next campaign and invoices in advance...then all you have to do is plop the correct items into the correct bags.

Also, don't wait until the orders arrive to schedule your deliveries. My customers can always receive order delivery dates on my website, so they know when their orders are due to arrive and I schedule their drop off's within the following few days to keep the money coming back into my hands before it's due to be submitted to Avon.

Have you tried Companion? It's a free software program offered online by Avon. Prior to inputting your order, you submit the items by customer into the program and it will do the invoicing for you. Don't be afraid to try new things! There are resources and scheduling methods available to help make running your business a breeze.

Also, check out Avon's FREE Online Centra training. They are so supportive of their reps and want you to experience success. Email me if you need any help.

I hope this helps!

Avon experienced hyper-growth many years ago, and just never took the time to update their plan. Their compensation plan is horrific! One of my reps sells Avon on the side and showed me what she gets paid for what she does, and I told her I'd be running for the hills. They are very much stuck in the 70's and that goes for their pay plan as well.
You might want to investigate other businesses. Nowadays, people order directly from your website, so there is no need to stock products, or sort orders when they come in. I would love to show you the profit I make on one bottle of the product I sell as opposed to Avon. That ship sailed many years ago, and it is very difficult to earn money with them anymore...if not impossible.

I have never sold Avon but it sounds like a nightmare. The home based business I belong to set me up with a website, they take care of the billing (they pay me direct deposit) All I have to do is get customers and once they become and stay on as customers I get paid a residual income on their monthly telephone service bill. I also save on my own telephone service bills, check my 360 profile, this is actually the best business opportunity that I have been involved in.

In my business I deal with a broad range of products, though an exclusive brand of cosmetics is among them. Though with my business I don't have to process orders, worry about distribution or any of that. I simply show the product to clients, and show them out to purchase it themselves.

It's alot more convenient on my end you can tell, and clients like that they control when they get product, and don't have to wait on a 'middle-man' to process and collect payment.

Read my profile, and if you're interested feel free to conact me.

I have heard of complaints like that. That is why I got involved with a company that I do not have to deal with niventory. If you love it though, I am sure you can find ways to make it less stressful.

I don't think I would ever get into avon. I'd feel crummy selling products to people.
