It is sad to be without siblings. But the choice is not yours. The longing for sibling is basically to get someone closer to you to share your fears, knowledge, doubts and so on. It is a psychological necessity. Good friends could always become more than siblings. Sibling is not your choice but friends are. Choose a good friend.

I am older with kids of my own and i still long for brothers and sisters. time and also having your own or developing close friends and family relationships only helps alil. nothing takes that emptieness away..unless you experience it then you dont know anything about it. i come from a great big loving family that love me and i still am lonely for siblings.. personally i think parents that dont have more unless its life or death reasons are just plain selfish..... wishing you good luck and much happiness.
