I mean a way for the people to end a presidency because they don't like the direction he is taking the country independent of a trial after an impeachment that requires a criminal conviction to remove a President.

The second-place winner becoming VP was an interesting idea, and resembles in some way the concept of sharing the power between the majority and largest minority of vote-winners. When they changed the Constitution to allow the VP to run along with the Presidential candidate, they should have built in a runoff.

If there is nothing in the Constitution saying we CAN'T recall them, can't we? I mean, aren't 'all other rights reserved to the states and the people'?

I don't think we had a provision to recall our governor in California, now that I think about it...

Nah, we already have an impeachment mechanism in place. No need to re-invent the political tire.

There already is a procedure in place to accomplish this. It is called impeachment. No new legislation is needed.

That would be redundant as we already have a method of getting them out of office.
