Go and buy a neutral onesis that says “I’m mad, I going to Grandmas and Grandpa’s” or something cute like that. Have dinner and have them open it. They will get it as soon as they open the present!

this is how I told my parents I was expecting for the first time: I made a shirt that said baby on board with an arrow pointing downwards. The first time I wore it I asked "Guess what?" and pointed to my shirt.

I know you can buy them somewhere, but I've forgotten where and I didn't know where 6 years ago either.

UPS some kind of baby item with no return address to them with a note that says, "guess what."

Or take them to dinner and arrange with the restaurant to have the server bring out a cake with sparkler candles on it and the words, "Congratulations, Grandparents."

Burn their house down, and then as they're standing there looking at the smoldering aftermath announce "look on the bright side, at least you're going to be grandparents!"

or

Just don't tell them at all, and when you start really showing, just have your husband complain to them all the time about how much beer you drink and that you're getting a really huge beer gut.

why do you need to be devious? How about just saying simply, "Mom and Dad, We're expecting." They will be thrilled.

Why turn something so special into a circus or reality TV show drama?
