Yes. I am 8 weeks pregnant right now. My last period started on12/25 & lasted 4 days. I had sex on New Years Eve & took a pregancy test on 1/18 that was positive. I thought that I got pregnant in the begining of December cause I took one of those ovulation tests & it said my fertile days were the 8th and we didn't see each that day but we did a couple days later. To make a long story short, when I went to the doctors' they did a blood test & confirmed I was only about 3 weeks, meaning New Years Eve was my lucky day.

Ovulation occurs when a mature egg is released from the ovary, pushed down the fallopian tube, and is available to be fertilized. The lining of the uterus has thickened to prepare for a fertilized egg. If no conception occurs, the uterine lining as well as blood will be shed. The shedding of an unfertilized egg and the uterine wall is the time of menstruation.

Tracking Ovulation:
A woman's monthly cycle is measured from the first day of her menstrual period until the first day of her next period. On average, a woman's cycle normally is between 28-32 days, but some women may have much shorter cycles or much longer ones. Ovulation can be calculated by starting with the day the last menstrual period (LMP) starts or by calculating 12-16 days from the next expected period. Most women ovulate anywhere between Day 11 - Day 21 of their cycle, counting from the first day of the LMP. This is what many refer to as the "fertile time" of a woman's cycle, because sexual intercourse during this time increases the chance of pregnancy. Ovulation can occur at various times during a cycle, and may occur on a different day each month. It is important to track your cycle; there are tools online to help you do this: Order Fertility Tracking

Yes, women can get pregnant any time of the month. It depends on what God has willed for you. I have 4 children and 1 on the way. 2 children I conceived while on birth control. I knew a woman that had her tubes tied and got pregnant. A lot of women have their tubes clamped and still get pregnant. And above all else, I heard a news story about a woman that got pregnant with one child, and two months later got pregnant with another child because the other fertile egg was still there. So she was carrying two babies, two months apart and in two sacks. I hope this helps. If nothing else I hope its interesting. Take care

Absolutely! Especially if:

* she has just stopped taking birth control pills, or
* it's not very many days from the start of one period to the start of the next (she has a short cycle), or
* if she has periods that last over a week, or
* she's with someone whose sperm last a long time (7 days is possible).

But even otherwise! If you don't want to be pregnant, you should use good birth control ALL the time.

yes! it is true that women have less fertile days, but you are rarin' to go 24 hours, 7 days a week, and that is why you need to use condoms. there are clinics all over, there should be one in your area, if you have had unprotected sex, there is that possibilty, however unlikley, get a pregnancy test from one of those facilities and its completely confidential.
