Check out the Imperial Palace. It's across the street and is right next door to Harrah's. It's older and smaller, but cheaper, and is centrally located right on the strip. You could also try Harrah's or the Flamingo. They're also right across from Caesar's.

Have fun!

Across the street from Ceasars Palace are some options. Imperial Palace, Barbary Coast, Flamingo, Harrahs. Go to travelocity site to check their rates out for when you need to be there. If you are going to stay for a full week you could stay at the Budget Suites of America (for about $200 for the week) and walk to Ceasars. Tropicana and Excalibur run some good deals and are not a bad walk either. The Rio is "all suite" rooms and there is a free shuttle to take you to Harrahs which is across the street from Ceasars, but the Rio is not on the strip. If you are looking for cheaper rooms, then check out Fremont street and then take the bus. My in-laws are going the first week of April, staying for a week at Hooters Casino, and only paying $450 pp includes air, hotel, taxes. Not too bad. Good luck!!

Living in the Las Vegas area, I can assure you there are several. Try the Gold Coast, Imperial Palace, or even the Excallibur. Many Strip hotels have rooms for around $39 a night depending on the season.

No.........and the Westward Ho is no longer open - it's been closed since 11/2005!!!! So Melissa S hasn't a clue! Besides it depends on what "affordable" is to you................and the time of year.

My suggestion - stay at Palace Casino, very affordable and nice! West of the strip and I-15.

Good Luck!! Ü

Rio: not on the strip, but they have a shuttle service that comes very frequent. There is really no necessity to be ON the strip because it takes 5 min. to get there, not even.

Go to www.vegas.com or www.lasvegas.com. My husband and I go every year and have found the best flight/hotel packages on www.vegas.com. Caesar's is nice but has gotten really expensive due to the constant renovating and additions.
