I used Berol Prismacolor art pencils for years then they were packed away. Recently I've resurrected the pencils I have left. I even have a beautiful case to store them in. I would like to find out what pencils are missing. I believe the number system may have changed but not sure.

I think you are right, I think the numbering system changed. I found I had identical pencils (by name) but the numbers were totally different. I didn't have enough of them to compare and figure out how they changed their system however.

When you are looking at the pencils on the Internet, keep in mind that there are different product lines of Prismacolor pencils. There are the Premier (which people usually call just Prismacolor but technically they're Premier), there are Verithins, and others.
See the Prismacolor website for the best details...why not go right to the manufacturer, I always say! Because retailers often could have the old ones listed.

This page has the Prismacolor Premiers listed:
http://prismacolor.com/sanford/consumer/prismacolor/product/subCategory.jhtml?subCat=SNPRCat130001&countCat=SNPRCat100015
Click on the 'tab' that has 120 on it to see all 120 colors available.

This page will show you all the different pencil lines ( no pun intended )

Hope this helps!

I've taken many art classes in college so I know that Prismacolor pencils have MUCH more pigment than RoseArt. If you want a higher degree of art work, you'll have to gets some Prismacolor. ^_~
