Girls are starting earlier and earlier due to all the hormones in our food, toxins in our environment and too much white flour and sugar.

I've heard of 5 year olds starting. I suggest your cousin take your daughter to an endocrinologist to make sure there is nothing wrong and nothing they can do about it.

It varies from girl to girl. The average age that a girl gets her first period is between 13 -16. However, I actually got my period at 10 also and although there were only 1 or 2 other people with their period at the time, I came to learn through doctors that is it completely normal. Yes it is definately a young age, but all our bodies mature differently which causes us to get our first periods at different times.

My daughters now 19 and 17 both followed my lead and did not start till they were Freshmen in High school. They actually worried because so many of their friends started when they were between 9-12. Everyone is different but it seems to be normal now a days for girls to start younger my doctor said it part genetics and part life style. Less active girls tend to start earlier than more active girls. Mine were very active plus I started late also. They now know how blessed they were not to start when everyone else was.

(1) Until she actually starts, you don't really know that she is "about to start her period". Other puberty events can occur for a long time before she actually starts.

(2) I started when I was 9, so did my baby si. Other sis at 12, so normal is relative.

Some gynos believe the average age is dropping b/c of hormones in meat, milk, etc. - but who knows if there is any truth to that.

i do no longer understand components, yet start up with the fundamentals. tell her that throughout the time of the destiny she'll bleed from the place she pees. whilst it occurs, help you comprehend so which you will get her pads. i might additionally recommend which you help her hide a pad in her backpack so she'll have it if needed. tell her its favourite and not something to be nervous of. The blood will scent after awhile, so she needs to alter it around breakfast, lunch, and dinner (a minimum of till she gets reliable approximately keeping sparkling with classes). Then brace your self and tell her bleeding is an indication of ageing and lead into the intercourse communicate in case you sense brave. If approached sensitively, it is going to flow ok for you the two. I talked to my 8 year previous approximately classes. She replaced into very count of actuality approximately it and did no longer look embarassed or hectic, in simple terms curious as to information and why. in case you do no longer act hectic or embarassed, she shouldn't the two. after all, its some thing all women flow via.
