i cought a bit of the news today from what i heard it said something about not being allowed to own a dog if you have children did i hear it right??

i hope i heard it wrong cos i have 1 rotty and 2 yorkies!- the yorkies are moer likely to bite than the rotty

Doctors are saying that children shouldn't be left with dogs, there are so many injuries through dog bite and also, sadly, deaths recently.

You didn't get it quite right, the powers that be reason that you shouldn't trust any dog to be left on their own with children. If you've got any sense you should take heed of that advice, anybody (and I'm sure there will be plenty) that say they know their dog and would trust it are living in cloud cuckoo land. I have a dog that I love dearly but while I would trust her when I am in the room I would not dare take a chance of leaving her alone with a child, when I or my wife are there we are head of the pack, when we are not my dog might think she is, and MIGHT exercise her authority

I did not hear it so I do not who said it. Children need 100% love, time and attention and any pet will be taking a share of that. It has been proved that children are sensitive to the fact that sometimes they come second.

I never heard that but the most important thing is to be careful if they ever want a lizard. Handling them and touching your mouth without washing your hands causes salmonella. Where did you hear this?

dont know as havent seen the news today,but i cant see that happening. i have 4 dogs and a child and they all get on brilliantly,dogs and other animals r good for kids to grow up around.

no not at all it only means dangerous dogs but the news does make you worry a lot , if u got a dog that is not on list dont worry family pet fine !!!

No, you didn't hear it right...it was that parents should be with children that have dogs...dogs are visious animals man..they shouldn't be let free
