The female should be alot fatter in the stomach and at the bottom tail end of its stomach there should be a small black dot called a gravel spot. This is the little babies eyes. The spot should get bigger and bigger until it takes up half of its stomach then there ready to poke their heads out into the world.

When they are pregnant, their bellies swell and may change colour and they may become more agressive to other fish.
Fish dont go into labour though because they only lay eggs.

well if you are tlaking about livebearers, a few days before giving birth they will probably stop eating and start resting on the floor of your tank
if not, then they dont go into labor, they lay eggs

Fish dont get pregnant!!!
Eggs are laid (infertile) then they are fertilized by the male..OUTSIDE the body.So they can't give birth.
The only exceptions are the cartileginous fish..sharks etc.
