No there is no age limit. but why are you posting a question like this? I mean, is this a real question? If you want a tattoo just do it, don't ask a stranger. Its your body and your choice of design. If your 100 yrs, old and if it makes you feel good, great! Have at it! A while back ago on the A&E channel they were airing a doc. abourt tatt's and they had two woman who both had masectomies, one had a partial and the other had a full, they both chose to get really beautiful works af art tattooed over their scars, I thought that was really something awesome, especially since they both were passed 40 and one was a grandmother. Just be you!

When you're in your 30's, most people have outgrown the desire for a first tatoo. If you've had them before, I don't think there's any 'too old' age, but I DO think there can limits on how many look okay, and when it crosses the line to ridiculous.

That's nonsense. You can get a tattoo at any age. Except if your under eighteen that's where temps come in. Let me tell you a story my tattoo artist told me. Once a elderly man wanted a tat. He was ask why at your age his reply was. Son, I've been in two wars, married twice and just Had bypass heart surgery. I've done it all and seen it all. But get a tattoo.... Now how could tell this man no your too old after that?

I'm 40 and just got number 2 and i plan to get more. I think the point that you are too old is when it may cause medical problems like not healing.

You are never too old to get a tattoo. You can however be too young to get a tattoo. I am 39 and still getting them. As long as you are healthy enough and get tattooed at a reputable shop, age is not a factor.

my mind could change on this...i got my ear pierced when i was 43, so i'm apt to change my mind...but i think when one is born, they are too old for a tatoo.
but i am a bit unpredicatable, i probably won't, but there is the outside possibility that i could get one tomorrow, and i'm in my later 50's (GAWD! i miss my youth)

You are never too old to get a tattoo. Our society seems to drill into our minds that age is a milestone that prevents us from doing things that we want to do. e.i. "I can"t go back to school I am too old"
