i believe the tea has caffine in it. Most drinks will say caffine free if they dont have caffine in it. It is best to drink plenty of water, milk, natural juice, i find vitamin water to be pretty tasty and there is no sodium in it. Be careful when eating chocolate as chocolate has caffine in it as well. Caffine in moderation is fine but dont overdo it and maybe limit it to once or twice a week.

Caffiene has an impact on anyone's nervous system...let alone a developing foetus.

As for what has it in it, coffee, non-herbal teas, some herbal teas, chocolate, diet pills, aspirin, and a whole boat load of other items, many of which you wouldn't suspect.

As for what you can drink...milk, fruit juices, water, some drink crystals, non-caffinated teas...as for ginseng tea, I don't know if it has any caffiene in it, sorry.

If you can find a nutritionist, (s)he should be able to give you that answer, along with (if you want it), a *complete* list of everything known to definately contain caffiene.

Boring as it may be, water is the best thing to drink while you are pregnant. For some reason Coke was my craving while I was preggers and I just had to have that one can every day and it tasted SO good to me. My little guy was fine, he did come out addicted to caffeine. The best advise is for you to talk it over with your doctor and see what they have for guidelines. I would stay away from herbs and such that are not regulated by the FDA. I hope that helps, it is hard when your body is no longer your own!

No ginseng, it's shown to lead to possible birth defects. Also, most teas are caffinated, unless it states it's decaffinated. I stick to milk, water, juices, flavored water, low fat hot chocolate, and sometimes 7 up, root beer or other caffine soda like orange, sierra mist, etc. Good Luck!!

NO! Ginseng if VERY bad while pregnant. (my uncle's a ginseng farmer) Ask your doctor if you have any concerns before drinking anything. Most drinks will state if there is caffeine under the ingredient list.

AVOID all artificially sweetened or "diet" drinks. Don't drink anything that has "splenda", saccharin, nutrasweet, or aspartame on the label.

AVOID all soda, all teas, herbal teas, all coffe, and decaff coffee.

Stick with natural fruit juices, milk, and water. An ocassional sparkling water or tonic water with fruit juice or lime or lemon is also OK.

I believe drinking natrual caffine, that is found in tea and such, is ok to drink. Keep it low though, you don't want to overdo it. Milk and water are the most importants fluids you can give your baby while pregnant.
