well they dont want to talk about guys in their songs because then people would think they're gay or something...but i agree with you there are alot of other options besides just girls to write about!

Oh, my.
MOST songs out there today are written about love, romance & sex. I would worry much more if the male singers were singing about other guys, to be honest!
Most female singers sing about guys, so why shouldn't it be the same in reverse?
FYI, the lack of creativity in modern lyrics is one of the reasons I listen to country music, and I recommend giving it a try. It may not be your favorite, but I can virtually guarantee that if you're concerned about lyrics, country will definitely grow on you. Right now, I'm listening to Gretchen Wilson tell me how she keeps the Christmas lights on her front porch all year long...and her newest song talks about how not to act when you're All Jacked (as in Daniels) Up. When I can't get into the tune, at least I can laugh at the lyrics!

because most men are confused by women. men cannot understand how women can be so complex, and women cannot understand how men can be so simple. which is probably what causes the disagreements and confusion between us. also, most male singers are somewhat sensitive and probably have been hurt by a girl sometime in their lives and use their music as an outlet for this frustration.

I am a song writer and I always write songs about the things that I love....1) girls and 2)cheeseburgers. I am writing a song right now called "cheeseburger girl," it goes like this- lalala lal lla aaa.

because they know that thats what will sell girls like things like that they can relate to it and fall in love with the singer because he came out with music like that and that makes them famous and rich yea thats why wouldnt you do the same ?
