Was anyone else disappointed by last night's episode, the last of the three part series? I think it is getting kind of soap opera-ish and even more unrealistic than before.

yeah it was much too unrealistic and I didn't like how she went to "heaven" or wherever that was. I like it better when it's about things that could actually happen. you're right it is getting like a soap opera

No it was sweet. Meredith only had the near death experience so that she could realize that her life is worth living and how much she means to the people she loves, and finally make peace with her mother. Also I loved Derek's emotional performance last night the way he started crying, if front of his ex-wife none the less, shows how much he really loves Meredith. And I don't agree that it was soap opera-ish. It violates the laws of television for a soap to have a happy ending like lasts nights episode, all though the whole Izzie, Denny did made me cry!

I don't think I'd have said "disappointed," as the outcome was pretty predictable in a broad sense. If you think about it, it's always been a bit of a prime-time soap. That doesn't mean that it's not a good show, just that it's not necessarily a heavy-weight in terms of content. And that's ok - after all, we all need a little relaxation and mindless entertainment now and then :-)

I do know if I were to ever own the series on disc I would not watch it again, except for the scene betwwen Denny and Izzie, I only watched it through because I am a die hard fan, otherwise I would have changed the channel

I thought Yang was the best once again, she basically carries that show from an acting point of view.

The only thing that disappointed me was that the mother didn't get to know her son was in surgery. They dropped the ball on that one. Other than that..............awesome show.......I like Yang and Burke..........2 weirdo's that work.
