The next number can be placed in box 1 !!! I don't think you want me to tell you what number it is but if you are still stuck find me and I'll tell you what number it is, but I recken you'll spot it now!!

Just so you know, the puzzle as you presented it IS a valid puzzle. I entered the numbers into a Sukoku program I have, and one of the functions of the progam is to determine if the numbers entered do in fact form a valid puzzle (i.e. a puzzle with only one solution, the solution of which can be determined without guesswork).

And yes, the next number can definitely go in box 1... although the reason may not be immediately obvious... either a 5, 6 or 9. And it is possible to determine which one it should be...you just have to look around the puzzle for the clues.... And good job by bricktopsglasses to figure that out!

If you really, really get stuck, email me, and I'll let you know what the number is, and why... once you get that, you should be able to complete the puzzle.

Good luck to you!

You have a lot to fill in. Do you want the answer or do you just want a couple of numbers to help you?
Here are the 7's
In the fourth row, 1,2.9,5,7,4,8,3,6
The last row is 9,3,2,4,5,8,7,6,1
And giving you only the remaining 7's --in row 6 it is in the last spot
And in the 8th row it is between the 3 and 2 you have already entered. Now you should be able to complete it. Just don't change any of the numbers you already have.
