I have an Insperion 2650 and I just want to know the cheapest way to do it? Do I have to go through Dell?

The Inspiron 2650 has a single PCMCIA slot located on the left side of the system. The slot is Type II compliant and is zoom-video compatible. Chances are to get a wireless PC card. If you're trying to connect to your network at home you can find one that's not too expensive, another option is a USB wireless adapter. It looks like a flash drive that would stick out the back of the laptop. Here's a link to what one would look like. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1356369&CatId=369

If you're wanting to have internet service away from home I'd suggest getting a PC card from a cell phone company

if you already have internet at home, get a wireless router and if your computer doesnt have a wireless card already, you can get a pcmcia or usb wireless adapter for your laptop. these devices are very affordable and easy to setup. follow the instructions carefully and everything will go smoothly.

good luck
