Why don't we just call every thing else outerwear?

everything else is considered outer wear in lamence terms...
but how can u tell from one article of clothing to another if they all were called outerwear.

Because we call coats outerwear- so what would we call them? Over the outerwear wear?

You must realllly be bored.... jeez! You don't know too much about fashion, do you... looks like you don't. Cuz its underwear and everything else is NOT underwear... and its not "just" outerwear... its everything! DERRR! lol go find sumthing better to do.

Outerwear is coats, jackets,etc.
Maybe we should call everything in between innerwear!
Under, inner, outer, sounds obscene doesn't it?!!

b/c outterwear is jackets and coats...and such. it goes back to the old days(like 1700's) when there was no "underwear", but your outfit had like 3 or 4 layers to it.
