I have one of those terrible headaches, and I took Tylenol but it has not eased up at all. Do you know of anything that will help?

sher is this a frontal headache; a sinus headache; an all overheadace? you have to be specific.

The best advice I can give is to take an extra strength tylenol and lay down with something over your eyes, close your eyes, and try to drift off to sleep;

I have asthma and can't take anything other than tylenol and I have migraines once in awhile from eating the wrong food

if it is a migraine you should consider having food allergies testing done which is what usually triggers them.

good luck and think good thoughts.
breathe deeply thru your nose and exhale slowly
the more oxygen you can get to your brain the better

I have no idea if you'll even get around to reading all of these answers, but my wife has headaches a lot. When she gets them I massage her neck, shoulders and back, paying careful attention to those areas that are trigger points.

I'm not a professional masseuse but I can tell which areas ar tight or knotted and which areas aren't and focus on the tight ones. After about 15 minutes she feels a lot better.

Most headaches are muscle related and by getting regular massages and doing neck stretching exercises, you can ease the tension.

If your headaches are severe and are chronic, I wouldn't hesitate to see a doctor to make sure it isn't something more serious.

Excedrin, and a cup of coffee. The caffeine in coffee will help the blood vessels in your brain expand, allowing for better blood flow. Most headaches are a result of poor blood flow due to either sinus pressure, or constricted blood vessels. Excedrin seems to be the best medicine out there for this. I am a long time migraine sufferer and tried them all.

If you have ice, or better yet, a bag of frozen peas, make an ice pack for your forehead. If you have to use ice, tie it into a plastic bag, or use a ziplock so you don't end up with wet pilows. Lie down, in the quiet and keep the room as dark as possible, and put the icepack on your forehead.

Hold a cold compress to your forehead. Rub your temples. Close your eyes. Once you close your eyes, don't move your eyeballs around. Keep them still.
Another thing you can you is massage the area on the back of your neck where your spine connects to the cranium.

A lot of people I know dab a little Lavender oil on their temples, everyone says it works, yet, when I have tried it, my headache gets worse. So, you could try that, it could work for you. I listen to heavy metal, that seems to work for me.
True.

Tylenol never works for me. I stick with good old aspirin for headaches.

Try having some caffeine. My mom always drinks a Pepsi when she has a headache, because she says the caffeine helps.

I would try taking Advil it usually works for me. Also a warm shower. If this doesn't work try some clariton in case it is your sinuses. If you think that it isn;t this try Extra Strength tylenol.
