I'm 16 years old and I am utterly obsessed with the film industry. I've wanted to be an actress my entire life, but my parents never took this dream any more seriously than being in school/community plays. My eternal goal is to be an actress for film, for that is my passion. I have had some terrible summer experiences in the past, so this year my parents told me I can do anything I want to do. I told them I want to look for an agent, and they agreed. However, this simple qustion-answer doesn't mean much. We have no idea where to begin. I'm definitely going to college, but I want to do anything within my power to fight for any and all roles in any type of movie before I go. I wish I could have started this sooner, and I feel like it is too late. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get an agent and start my journey as soon as possible? I want this more than I have ever wanted anything, and I need some advice. Please do not discourage me, just help me if you can. Thanks! <3

Your life your choice. If your in school now the best way to do things is to get help from someone you know. Do you act? Or try out for plays? Show your true talent to someone. In my town I revealed I can sing and I am only 15 years old. I live in a small town but I am one of the best actors here. Now it's getting to the point where I can get a scholarship for presenting my talent and I thing thats what you should do. Get help from a friend along the way it will help you. Best advice stay on task and stick to your dreams. Knowmatter what happened in the past. Stick to your future. hn hn hn

If you live in Los Angeles audition as often as you can. Most actors are not "working" actors, that is they don't survive on money they make acting.

Join the drama department at your school.
Go to college and major in Drama.
Go to graduate school and get an MFA (Master of Fine Arts in Theatre).

You should go and try out for as many auditions as you can..if you try out for 100 you might only get 1. and u should also pursue another career just in case acting doesn't work for you!
and @ audtions u should just be yourself, show them your personality.
