it is called "payola"
Most radio stations are part of conglomerates, namely ClearChannel which owns over 1,100 stations. Record labels then work out deals to get their music played, the more spins a song gets, the more CDs sell and the higher on the charts the song goes. Most of the playlist is dictated from corporate hq.
The labels don't always give money, sometimes it is gifts or promised advertising or promotions.

Because they have a narrow list of popular songs and only want to play the most popular, new songs. I just stopped listening to the radio.

because it cost close to half a mill. just to get one song on the radio, and most local radio has been bought out by big corporations and they now have the power and all the money to put what they think "we" want to hear in rotation

You all are wrong it's called 96.3 it should be called the repeat station just like93.3. It gets annoying some people should call them and say stop playing songs over and over again

All popular radio is run by one company and by only four individuals who decide what we will all listen to. CD player all the way!

They properly get paid to promote the songs, or maybe to annoy the listeners

bcause good songs r hard to find...!.so thats why when they found some good songs..clicked on repeat the songs and they done for the day....!easy job huh??.
