I would consider it, as I'd be interesting to talk with the person and find out what led them to be in the circumstances that they currently are. I love exploring peoples ideas and opinions and I think a person on death row would be an interesting person to talk with. They are in a very unnatural situation that forces them to think about things at great length, and this might mean that the understanding they have about thier life might be much greater than the average person. Obviously, there is probably a part of me that would want to 'save' someone who is classed as 'evil'. Part of me would wonder if I could 'fix' them - convince them that what they did was wrong. Or, if they did truly repent, then it would be interesting to see how they cope with the intense guilt. Either way, they are in a situation which I, hopefully, will never experience, and I think that I might gain a lot of understand about my fellow man, and myself by talking to an inmate on death row.

My father wrote to me every day that he was in prison, and I rarely returned his letters. This does leave me feeling a little guilty, as I know that I had the power to make his almost unbearable stay there a little easier, and yet I chose not to. Maybe some of this desire to write to an inmate is out of misplaced guilt? I know that the letters my father recieved meant so much to him - it was his only contact with a lot of people and it made his time inside easier. Writing to someone inside does seem to be a way to give back to someone in poor circumstance. Maybe you have to have known a convict, or been one yourself, to have any sympathy. I just know that things aren't black and white - sometimes there are other reasons why people are in prison. I saw an interest documentary about women in prison the other day - 80% of the 1300 female inmate at the prison it focused on had been victims of sexual abuse as children. Makes you wonder?

you want to take a reliable look at your self. that is not in simple terms ridiculous yet, very undesirable mentally. you both have a really small international that you stay in, imagine small of your self, or your an fool. it really is it? those human beings have killed harmless toddlers, raped harmless women human beings and murdered harmless adult men, no longer all in that order. those human beings do no longer have any regard for humanity. they're unfeeling, straight forward, products of crap on the bottom of the shoes of this society. if someone murdered your moms and dads, would you pick someone writing to them in detention center, replacing awesome verbal substitute and wondering how their day became? what are you attempting to tutor?
