what's the rest of the equation? im working on this kind of stuff right now in algebra class, i can help. all you have to do is subtract the similar terms (degrees). like in the first bracket, [2m^7] is similar to the term [8m^7], so you'd subtract the two to get [-6m^7], assuming [m] is a variable. do that with the other like terms, but only with ones that have the same variables and degrees of exponents (m^7 couldn't be added/subtracted to m^6, even though the variables are the same)

I am assuming you have a typo at the end and it's 6x)? close parenthesis? So first thing you have to do is distributive property. To remove the parenthesis, distribute negative sign or subtraction sign (whatever you want to call it ) into each term inside the (). So then it will become (2m^7+3x^4+7m^6) - 8m^7-4m^2 - 6x. Next line those numbers up one below another.
2m^7 +3x^4 +7m^6
-8m^7 -4m^2 -6x
If the base is the same, then you can add or subtract. (In this case, only one of them are the same)
So it will become, -6m^7 +3x^4 +7m^6 -4m^2 -6x

(2m^7+3x^4+7m^6)-(8m^7+4m^2+6x^4) distribute tyhe "-" sign
2m^7+3x^4+7m^6-8m^7-4m^2-6x^4 combine like terms
-6m^7-3x^4+7m^5-4m^2

I think the answer is -6m^7+-3x^3+11m^8
Remember: Never add exponents unless you are multiplying numbers with exponents. And subtract exponents when you are dividing. I don't quite remember the rules for addition and subtraction but I hope this is the correct answer. Good luck!:-)

the result is 16m^14 +8m^9+ 12xm^7 + 24m^7x^4 + 12x^4m^2 + 18x^5 + 56m^11 + 28m^8 + 42xm^6.........
