Toothpaste works very well.

Here are the steps

1. Squirt some toothpaste on your finger then spread it and cover the back of the disc.

2. Let it sit for 5 Min.

3. Run hot water on the back of the disc to get the toothpaste off ( This will not hurt the disc. It never hurt mine)

4. After you get the toothpaste washed off, Dry the CD off with a soft towel.

5.Put it in the game system and try to play it.

6. Repeat steps again if needed.

Hope this helps!!!

Try to coat the bottom of the disc (not image) with regular (non-grainy) toothpaste. Massage toothpaste in and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Then rinse with hot water. Let air dry or dry with soft tissue or handkerchief. Should work if its a lighter scratch.

If it's a heavy scratch that is deep enough to be felt or caught by your fingernail, then you might have to go to the store and buy some cd/dvd scratch remover/filler gel and cover it over with that stuff. Sometimes scratches are just so hardcore that the damage is irreversible and you have to convert your cd into a drink coaster. Good luck!

well , it depends on if the scratch is on the painted side or the other side , if the painted side is scratched you are done for but if the playing side is scratched depends on how deep the scratch is if its minor you might be able to fix it with a scratch remover kit ( from any department store ) or you might be able to use toothpaste , if you try tooth paste you have to put it on let it dry a little and thin get a spray bottle and gently and lightly spray watter on it not to much just a small mist and thin wipe it off with VERY soft cloth ( 100% cotton works best shirt or rag ) don't rub it hard just keep a mist on it until its clean thin damp a tissue with rubbing alcohol and very gently run it over the surface , if that don't work then its no good any more

3 Different things you can do.
1. Buy a Disc Dr. or Disc cleaner the Dr. is better for scratches though
2. Take it to a polisher and see if they will polish it up for you most of the time it works
3. Scrap it and buy a new one if neither of those work

nicely isn't achievable to "do away with" scratches by way of fact the disk is guidance, a scratch will harm that piece of guidance, besides the incontrovertible fact which you'll be able to attempt cleansing it up with a moist piece of fabric.

You could either use one of those CD cleaning kits or take it to gamestation and part exchange - or ask them to try and fix it for you - i would take it to them first.

Good luck
